History Before setting up Weld-Class-Solutions Ltd, Mark Cozens was formerly Senior Manager for Materials Joining Technology - Training and Examinations at TWI (formerly The Welding Institute), where he has been involved in a breadth of different aspects of welding and inspection technology. Training and development expertise Mark has worked in a broad range of job profiles from senior welding instructor, senior lecturer and the Course Director and Examinations Coordinator for the setting up and running of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and European Welding Federation (EWF) post graduate education and qualification schemes related to Welding Engineers, Technologist, and Specialists qualifications. Welding Inspection training and qualifications On the welding inspection front, Mark has designed training programmes for inspection training for TWI's CSWIP welding inspection programmes and more recently set up and gained course approval for BINDT's PCN welding inspector training course and examinations in association with the South West School of NDT . He was also involved with the Transco/BGAS pipeline construction approval scheme as part of their Management Committee. Training and Professional activities Mark has also been an active member of various working groups in a technical capacity for British Standards on welding inspection including BS EN 970 and is currently actively involved with the Certification Management Committee and Governing Board of the British Institute of non destructive testing (BINDT) and the Membership, Education and Registration Committee of the Welding Institute for a broad range of technical, educational and personnel development matters, including the Engineering Council's requirements for Chartered and Incorporated Engineers. Flexible training approaches He has worked in a variety of different training and technical capacities over the last twenty five years and has trained personnel at all levels including shop floor through to senior managers in a variety of welding related subjects. |
